Cancellation & Refund Policy

When planning activities or social club events, we plan our budget to be cost neutral.  In some cases we have to provide the ‘vendor’ with a deposit.  As you know, some of our activities and social club events are limited to a certain number of members.  From there we use a waitlist.  Pre-COVID cheques were cashed at the beginning of the month of the event unless otherwise stated.  We are following this same practice now in that once the registration date has expired on Wild Apricot, we will not be able to provide a refund for the activity/event.  We appreciate that last minute things come up and by no means do we want you to participate in a function if you are feeling unwell.  You are more than welcome to find a replacement either from a waitlist or another PROBUS member.  This will ensure that we have sufficient funds received for the event and to remit payment to the vendor(s) involved.  While there may be situations where we can refund you, we don’t want you to count on this.  An example of this is if the vendor agrees to charge based on the number of members actually attending the function.

We sincerely appreciate your participation in our activities and social clubs events and trust you are enjoying them as well.
