Card players meet monthly for healthy competition in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The games are played at the Grace Church Hall. For games requiring a specific number of players per table, an initial limit is set. If the limit is reached, you are encouraged to add your name to the waitlist. Bid Euchre is based on the game Euchre. It introduces an element of bidding in which the trump suit is decided by which player can bid to take the most tricks. We play with a double deck of 32 standard playing cards (J-A.). In its basic format, it is played by four players in two competing partnerships. Euchre is a trick-taking card game commonly played in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Great Britain, and the United States. We play with a deck of 24 standard playing cards (9-A). Normally there are four players, two on each team, although there are variations that range from two to nine players. Texas Hold 'Em is the most popular of all poker variations. The goal of a Texas hold'em game is to use your hole cards in combination with the community cards to make the best possible five-card poker hand. The focus is on fun and engagement, so new and experienced players are welcome. If we get enough interest, we will setup a table for beginners, and have an experienced player show you the ropes. Note: All the clubs are always willing to teach the game to newbies. |
