The account allows the operation of one event at a time with up to 100 participants. To avoid scheduling conflicts, please contact our Zoom coordinator Lorrette Shermet before planning your event. 

Please note: Only members of the particular social club can register for its events.

You can cancel your registration for events that have no cost and have allowed self-cancellation. This will send a cancellation notice to yourself, your guest (if any) and the event host/hostess.

    The idea is that Escarpment Probus couples meet about six times a year to enjoy a dinner that each couple provides a part of.  Each couple will host at least once in their own home.  Two single people working together is considered a couple.  At the start of the season, each couple will be able to purchase a cookbook which will contain all the recipes for the season.  The cookbook will also give details of who is hosting each month and who their guests will be.   There are four couples at each dinner, including the hosts.   The cookbook also advised on who will be making what.

    Each couple is responsible for making 1/4 of the meal and providing the cost of their ingredients.  The cost of the meal will then be divided equally between the couples.  Each couple will bring their own wine/ beer/etc.

    Let's play Five Crowns  We have not played this since 2023!

    Five Crowns is a five-suited rummy-style card game. The unique deck provides you with multiple options for arranging your cards into books and runs. The game has 11 rounds. It starts with 3 cards and 3s are wild, then moves to 4 cards and 4s are wild and so on ‘til the Kings Go Wild! Make the right combinations, be the first to go out, then watch your opponents scramble as they get one last chance to cut their losses. The player with the lowest score wins!

    We ask that you bring your own snacks and beverages (in reusable containers). We also ask that you bring a $3 for the church hall rental. Thanks for your co-operation.

    Pinseekers, we are starting earlier this year with 12 rounds at TURTLE CREEK GOLF COURSE!  Tee times begin at 9:00 AM and you can play 9 or 18 holes.  If you’re interested in joining the golf group, contact Karen Latremouille via email, karenlatremouille@gmail.com, to be added to the distribution email.  You can play 1 round or all twelve rounds. All skill levels welcome.

    How about an old game of Chinese Checkers!

    Objective: Each player aims to move all their marbles into the triangle directly opposite their starting position. The first player to occupy all target holes with their marbles wins the game!

    Movement Rules

    • Single Step Move: Move one marble into an adjacent vacant hole in any direction
    • Hopping Move: Jump over an adjacent marble (your own or an opponent’s) into the empty hole directly beyond it. Multiple hops are allowed in a single turn as long as each hop is legal and in a straight line
    • Restrictions: Marbles may move into any hole, including those in other players’ triangles, but once a marble reaches the opposite triangle, it cannot leave that triangle, only move within it
    • Blocks: You cannot jump over two or more marbles at once

    Gameplay

    • Drawing Cards: At the start of your turn, draw enough cards to have five in hand.
    • Playing Cards: 
      • Play cards from your hand onto Building piles in numerical order (1–12).
      • Play the top card of your Stock pile.
      • Play the top card from any of your Discard piles.
      • SKIP-BO cards are wild and can represent any number
    • Continuing Play: If you play all five hand cards, draw five more and continue your turn
    • Ending Turn: Discard one card from your hand to a Discard pile

    The Piece Makers are again trying a new place "Oakhaven Quilt Retreat", a cozy quilting retreat near Toronto in the heart of Trent Hills, Ontario. We are travelling east this week to Covert Hill, situated in the beautiful Trent Hills, twenty minutes’ drive north of Cobourg, Ontario.

    Looking forward to 4 days of quilting, laughter, and shopping.
